June 23, 1960 – October 4, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that the Atons of Minneapolis share the passing of our brother Mark Skanes Cady, who died on October 4.
Mark was an associate member of the Atons for more than ten years. He was a rider through and through, and it often seemed like he was either just back from a trip or about to leave on the next one, including a recent motorcycle adventure through Spain. Whenever the road brought him back to town, he made time for us, turning up at our events with a big smile, a new story, and a laugh that carried across the room.
Mark never met a stranger. He made friends everywhere he went, and anyone who spent five minutes with him came away feeling like they’d known him for years. He was generous with his time, quick to lend a hand, and always up for a good conversation. Our club is better for the years he spent with us.
Our thoughts are with his partner, Tony Miller, his family, and the many friends and fellow riders who loved him. A celebration of Mark’s life will be announced at a later date, and we will share details when they are available.
Ride free, Mark. You will be missed.
