Dining Out For Life® is an annual fundraising event where the community comes together to eat out at restaurants committed to donating a percentage of their profits to HIV/AIDS services in their city. The Aliveness Project has hosted DOFL in Minnesota for the past 27 years. Dine Out to End HIV on April 28 by participating in Dining Out For Life.
The Atons support Dining Out For Life by shifting our regular monthly dinner date to April 28 and selecting a participating restaurant: Graze Provisions + Libations, 520 North 4th Street, Minneapolis. They donate 35% of dinner proceeds that night to Dining Out For Life.
Graze doesn’t take reservations, so we aren’t either. (But feel free to let us know on Facebook if you are coming.) A few of us will try and get there early to grab some tables to sit together.
Graze is a food hall type gather space in the North Look, with a collective of small food businesses:
- The Fabled Rooster: southern-inspired low country cooking rotating with the seasons. We use fresh, sustainable seafood and humanely-raised beef, chicken, and pork.
- Avocadish: a different type of food experience. Our menu consists of daring and innovative flavors, centered around the avocado and other whole and natural foods.
- Union Hmong Kitchen: features Hmong culture, stories, and flavors – combining local Minnesotan traditions with those from back home in south and eastern Asia to bring Hmong flavors to American palates.
- B.A.D. Wingz: a Black-Owned Wing Joint offering and an authentic wing experience for vegans, vegetarians, and chicken wing lovers alike.
- Viva Taco: A simple menu elevated by quality ingredients and authentic cooking.
- Soul Bowl: soul food reimagined to be healthy, customizable, & convenient. celebrating the flavors we love at the pace we live.
- The Last Drop Cafe + Wine Bar: the spot perfect for your early morning pick-me-up, your mid day work meeting, & that EOD glass of wine….but if you need the wine earlier, we can do that too 😉
- Libation Lounge: features 2 indoor/outdoor bars where you can kick back & relax. With a hyper-local beer selection, seasonal wine list & craft cocktails, we have something to help unwind.
